Following Monday’s beta update, we’re focusing on the details that help Trackeon feel easier to use from the first setup to the last shot. Here’s what we’ve been working on this week. Some changes are in the app’s development build; others are still being tested for future beta updates.
A clearer first session
We’re adding a guided walkthrough to help you get comfortable with the tracker before your first swing. It covers phone alignment, ball placement, shot direction, club selection, and refocusing, with guidance that fits the way you’re using Trackeon.
Setup guides are also easier to reach from your account. The aim is simple: less time wondering what to tap, and more time getting ready to practice.
Elevation that stays with your shots
This week’s app work brings elevation into setup and settings. You can enter it yourself or use an optional location lookup, helping the app’s simulated distances reflect the elevation where you’re practicing.
We’re also carrying that setting through saved shots and replays, so reviewing a session keeps the same elevation context. It’s a small setup detail that helps make the numbers more useful.
Sound prompts you can hear
The tracker’s sound cues help you know when it’s ready while you’re standing over the ball. We’ve been improving the volume check before tracking starts, with a clearer prompt when the phone is too quiet.
The app can respond as you raise the volume and keep those checks in step when you leave the app and return. That should make getting into a session feel more straightforward.
A more dependable camera experience
Work is continuing on the iOS and Android camera libraries that power the app. We’re testing smoother recovery after camera or audio interruptions, steadier previews, and better handling of focus changes.
We’re also exploring clearer feedback when lighting makes tracking difficult. These improvements are still being tested across devices as we work toward a more consistent practice experience.
Making reports more useful
We’re improving the bug-reporting flow and the optional sharing of unsuccessful captures. Sharing remains a choice, and automatic uploads are designed to happen while tracking is idle.
Further work is making those reports more useful for investigating problems. Together with beta feedback, that helps us understand where a session became frustrating and what to improve next.
